19.11: Three new CMBB mods by Mike Duplessis are available at the " Russian Armor " page: two M3A1 Lend Lease Scout Cars and a great set of tire treads.
October 2002
25.10: Finally there is some new content on the " Axis Armor " mod page for CMBB: get Mike Duplessis fabulous Hetzer , check out the new PZ 38t by Steven Jones and enjoy the Sdkfz 7 series and the Jagdpanzer IV by Marcus Bloess.
24.10: Don´t miss the latest mods: a winterized version of Steve Jones splendid SU-152 and Mr.Noobie´s KV-2 " Monster Tank " ( " Russian Armor " mod page ).
22.10: Let´s go on with five (!) new Russian tank mods designed by Steve " The Big Cheese " Jones ( SU-152 , T34/57 , two T34/85 and a winterized version ). I suggest to take a closer look at the T-34/85 models: these are definitly some of the BEST CM mods I´ve ever seen ! As usual , you can download the new stuff from the " Russian Armor " mod page. The " Sounds " site features eight new alternative CMBB soundtracks ( maybe you are bored by " The night on the bald mountain " by now..). Check out an original " Lili Marleen " recording done in 1941 , listen to a beautiful version of the former Sowjet Union National Anthem , or enjoy the Russian " 3rd Tankist March ". To save diskspace all files were encoded to MP3 format and must be decoded and renamed ( 00005010.wav ) to work with CMBB. Don´t expect " HiFi Quality ": these are historical recordings from the last century :-)
20.10: A very talented new mod designer enters the stage: " Mr.Noobie " has released 11 (!) new T-34 mods together with a set of dirty tracks for the Russian tanks. Grab it from the " Russian Armor " mod page....and pray that there are enough download slots free on the FTP server. A new historical CMBB operation made by Frank Torweihe deals with the defensive action of the German 428. Infantry Regiment near Rshew in August 1942. You´ll find it on the " 1942 " scenario page.
18.10: " Riesberg " and " Last Defense " two more CMBO classics were converted to CMBB and can be downloaded from the 1944- and 1945 scenario sites. Finally: Schoerner has released a new version of his " AntiCensorship " patch , which gives the " Waffengrenadiere " their historical correct names ( download it from the " Reports / Data " section ). This patch was made for the English CDV version of CMBB and doesn´t affect the original exe. file , the registry and the copy protection. More mods will be released soon.... when the MGO ftp server problems are solved. Meanwhile the new stuff is hosted at a different location.
05.10: Great news ! Download Ed Kinney´s phantastic new CMBO/CMBB Bunker Set ( incl. winter & summer versions ) and Juju´s fine CMBB factory textures from the " Buildings " mod page. Then switch over to the " Reports " section and choose " Data " to get the CMBB Unit Avialibity Excel Charts from Marcus Bloess ( Marcus new Axis Tank- and Vehicle mods will also be published at TCMHQ in the next days ). And ... don´t forget to visit the " Scenario " pages: the " 1942 " and " 1943 " sections held two new CMBB scenarios ( " Haunted Hill " and " Two Hostile Brothers " ) which were designed for challenging PBEM or TCP/IP games. BTW: I apologize for several technical problems which occured during the last days. If you can´t download anything , drop me a line at tcmhq@nexgo.de ( please list your operating system and your browser ).
September 2002
30.09: Today we have two CMBO classic scenarios available...but for CMBB ! Do you remember " Valley of trouble " and " Chance Encounter " ? The maps were converted 1:1 , but I did some minor changes in the OOB to make the fightings more challenging. Should be great fun for PBEM- and single player games. You can download the new stuff from the " 1941 " and " 1945 " scenario pages. New mods will be published at the end of the week.
24.09: Don´t miss Juju´s phantastic " Modslut Special " ! A georgeous hires ( and photorealistic ! ) replacement kit for all CMBB small arms graphics ( Rifles , MG´s , Pistols etc. ). You can download this masterpiece from the " Sowjet Armor " mod site. My latest " No Markers " mod ( replaces all unit markers in CMBO and CMBB with transparent bitmaps ) can be found on the " Effects " pages.
|
23.09: My website finally found a new home: Thanks to the great
support from Mr. Shaun Wallace ( THANKS A LOT MATE ! ) the TCMHQ sites are
now hosted by MILITARYGAMERONLINE.COM .Stay
tuned for the huge amount of new scenarios and mods that will be published
here during the next weeks ( and - yes - I will try to finish my " Street
Fighting Mod " too :- ). Check out the first new mod on the " Effects " mod
page: Juju´s hires " Hollywood Explosions Version II " will add a lot to the
dramatic mood on your CMBO/CMBB battlefields. P.S: Thanks to all of you who send me encouraging mails during the last weeks and especially to those , who offered me their own webspace. The CM community is really a great family ! |

29.08: After a fine summer vacation ( I had great days in Arnheim ..including
some remarkable history lessons ) and some hard work at the office , it´s
time to do some work on my website: Let´s start with the good news: As you
all know , on the 1st of September the official demo version of Combat
Mission " Barbarossa to Berlin" is available at the
Battlefront
and
CDV
web sites ( followed by the release of the full version end of the month
! ). Despite all joy about these events ( be assured that this site will
offer MUCH CMBB stuff in the future ) the "good ol´ CMBO " will not be
forgotten: If you still believe Don Maddox´s and Maguas CM building mods are
competitionless, take a look at Ed Kinney´s new " Rural Buildings Version 2"
( " Buildings " mod page ). Simply breathtaking ! On the "Axis Armor"
section you´ll find a brand new " Panther " G late mod by Marcus Brown ( aka
tools4fools ) together with three new Kuebelwagen mods by Andrew Fox. Andrew
also designed the fine " Pershing " mod available from the " Allied Armor "
site. Last, but not least Flesh presents a phantastic new " Smoke " mod on
the " Goodies " section. Now to the REAL bad news: The main part of the " older " TCMHQ mods is temporary "off-line". My Provider has cut the free webspace about 50% (!) and now only permitts free traffic up to 1GB (!!!) each month. This is - hopefully - not the end of my web page ( I have invested nearly two years into this "small corner of the Internet " ...) At present I´m searching for further free web space ( without traffic limitations ) and hope to offer " business as usual " at the end of September. |
July 2002
07.07: Another feast for modsluts: Andrew Fox has released version 2.0 of his " Axis Uniforms Super Action Pack " including new summer/winter uniforms for Heer , Fallschirmjaeger , WSS and Volkssturm , while Michael Stewart sent in a great hires version of Marcus Bloess old 3D faces mod ( you´ll love all the new details ! ). Both mods can be found on the " Faces & Uniforms " mod page. Last , but not least: Marcus Bloess and Gordon Molek designed a winterized SDKFZ 7 Gun Tractor mod ( download this beauty from the " Axis Armor " website ).
June 2002
03.06: Good news ! There are lots of goodies for modsluts: Tarkus has released a new Marder II mod, Andrew Fox did a great job on his " Comet " and Marcus Bloess made a nice tri-color variation of the popular " Graal Tiger " that is now integrated into the " Graal Tiger " pack ( if you have still downloaded this set , you can get the new Tiger directly from HERE ). The " Faces & Uniform " page features JM Gottwald´s long awaited new German uniform mod and the " Goodies " section presents three (!!) alternative CM game interfaces ( Grey Steel Interface by Tarkus, Sharp´s Interface by Tom Crehan and the giant ASL Interface by Michael Dorosh ) together with my new " No Markers " mod and a sneak peak of my CM screensaver project. Last , but not least: a scaled field path by Randy Sickbert and a " reversed order " batch file can be found on the " Ardennes 1944 " mod site. Check it out.
May 2002
22.05: Two minor updates: the " Goodies " section presents brand new " Axis " and " US " splash screens ( incl. new buttons and wallpapers ). The " Sounds " page contains new hot sounds by Stefan Carlsson ( vehicles under fire by infantry weapons ). Both replacement sounds add A LOT to the acoustic atmosphere during a CM battle !
11.05: I did some applications on existing mods ( hope you´ll like them ): my winterized version of Saturnin´s Marder II and an updated version of Andrew Fox´s winterized Marder III/Wespe can be found on the " Axis Armor " site ( If you already use Andrews mod , you can download the single new bitmape file HERE ). Located on the " Allied Armor site ", there is a new update file for Andrew Fox´s Ford Jeep. The zip contains Andrew´s latest British Mickey Mouse cammo textures , a special " Gamey Bastard " version ( he , he ) and finally a winterized version of the Jeep.
06.05: And out of nowhere a new star is born: Mr. Tomasz Danilowiczs from Poland did a stunning " Tiger E " mod that will satisfy even the most sceptic grog. Based on a 3D Studio Max rendering by the author , the new textures show us all details of this fearsome war machine ( take a look on the Zimmerit ...not to speak of the awesome shading and lighting ! ) This is a MUST HAVE. With permission of the author , I have included two variations of the mod into the zip file: together with the original artwork , you´ll get an alternative subdued and a winterized version. Run like hell to the " Axis Armor " section and download these beauties ( 3 MB ). BTW: don´t forget to visit Tomasz Danilowicz´s website ( www.G-r-a-a-l.com ). Another feast for your eyes !
02.05: Saturnin´s second mod release is a real killer: his new H-39 Hotchkiss camo textures will make this little toy tank look like a dangerous beast.... unfortunately it´s only a virtual impression :-). Grab the new stuff ( 650 kb ) from the " Axis Armor " page.
April 2002
08.04: Get Andrew Fox´s marvellous new Cromwell textures ( 1.8 MB ) from my " Allied Armor " mod page ( A special CMMOS version of this mod will be available ASAP ). All Hungarian CM fans will be happy to find a Hungarian version of DeanCo´s CM control panel on the " Goodies " page.
March 2002
16.03: More alternative bitmaps for the " Ardennes 1994 " mod: due to popular demand I did a new dirt road set ( 350 kb ) based on the original stock graphics ( low res ). More news: Subscribe to the TCMHQ mailing list and be the first to know about new stuff on this site and in the CM world. For those who want to publish their best CM screenshots: go the the " Reports " section and enter the " Gallery ": here you can upload your best combat pics.
03.03: Don´t miss this weekends " Vive la France ! " mod special: featuring Saturnins first CM Mod: a wonderfull textured hires Marder II that comes with an alternative damaged version ( grab it from the " Axis Armor " website ) and Paw Broons phantastic Archer ( get it from the " Allied Armor " website ).
February 2002
22.02: IT´S DONE !!!! The new " Ardennes 1944 - Battle of the Bulge " mod can be downloaded from the mod section ( 7.5 MB ). Exchange your Alaska style winter landscape with a typical European light snow terrain ( including new trees , treebases , brushes , snow covered fields (!) , roads , rough , railways , pavement and water bitmaps ). Preview the whole thing in a small " Flash Movie " on the same website.
January 2002
A HAPPY NEW YEAR to the CM community. I apologize for the lack of new content, but I use every minute to work on my new " Ardennes 1944 - Battle of the Bulge " winter mod. In the meantime don´t forget to take a look on Andrew Fox´s latest HiRes " Hetzer " mod on the " Axis Armor " website.
19.05: Get Ed Kinney´s new wooden bunker hi-res mod from the " buildings " section of my mod pages. At the moment I am working on the international scenario pages. All scenarios can be downloaded now ( check out Franko´s new FTC scenario pack at the " French 1944 " page ) but some have German descriptions instead of English ones ( of course only on the website ...the mission briefings are written in English ). I will try to translate the whole stuff during the next days.
12.05: Great news for all who like Patrick T. Wares " Mini Campaign " series: Mr. Fred Hartig was so inspired by this series , that he comes up with a sequel: " Against all odds " is a mini campaign were you have to lead a company of German Armored Panzergrenadiers through six very tricky designed scenarios - from the D-Day to the last stand in Germany ( as I playtested the stuff I had the time of my life .....and I am not easy to impress! ). You will find this new series in the " scenario " section. There are also two new sections on the " report " pages: " Rules " , where you will find Franko´s great new CM Combat Rules ( a must read ! ) and " Gallery " , where I will post your greatest ( or funniest ) CM screenshots in the future.
05.05: First and most important: A BIG excuse to all who had ( and still have ) problems with broken links and unfinished pages on my website. All pages are under heavy construction at the moment. I hope everything is in place until end of May. Meanwhile: check out Tiger´s new Sherman Firefly and Mike Duplessis new Jumbo M10/M36 Mods in the reopened " Allied Armor section " ( I hope you like the new design ) or listen to my " Wavepack Vol.1 " in the sound section.
