ES Scenario Pack #3
"The Battle of Mortain"
US 30th Infantry Division "Old Hickory" - Avranches 1944
Ozgur Budak strikes hard with this 8 scenario battlepack covering the Mortain fighting of August 1944. Definitely rivaling the stock scenarios in the way of playability, these 8 scenarios use a mixture of ASL as well as historical maps that were included with the stock game. Ozgur has also stripped down the fighting into smaller sized battles heavily focused on playability. These are still rough for the Germans, just not nearly as impossible as the stock Mortain scenarios seem to have been. Also included is documentation by the 30th ID's
Commanding General. Good Stuff. Congrats Ozgur. download

Eagles Strike European Add On Scenarios
Crashlanding at Tavronitis
20 May 1941 Tavronitis River Bed, near Maleme Airfield, Crete Ozgur Budak
One of the key objectives of the Operation Mercury, the German invasion of Crete was the Maleme Airfield located northwest of the island.
German High Command knew that they needed the facility for logistics ensuring the success of the invasion so they picked it as one
of the key objectives for the first day of airborne operations. German high command planned a series of glider landings to secure the area for parachutists. A major landing zone was the bed of the Tavronitis River. It was given to the assault forces known as Group Koch commanded by Major Koch. However, apart from the unexpected enemy presence, the landing zone was a terrible place for gliders. They had to land on olive trees, small patches of swamp and broken terrain under enemy fire; regroup and fight their way to the RAF Camp
Revenge at Kastilli
20 May 1941 Kastilli, Crete Ozgur Budak
A number of Greek regiments, understrengthed and poorly armed but with grim determination after the defeats of the past month, were on Crete. On the day of the German paratroop assault, one such -the 1st numbering a bit over 1000 men- was stationed near Kastelli near
the western end of the island to protect its small harbor. German troops landed east of the village, and north and south of the main road nearby. Needing no urging from the New Zealand officers attached, the Greeks -though poorly armed- sallied out to meet the enemy. Even the local Cretans went out to attack Germans. For the Germans, a jump to capture the village had become a struggle for survival. download
Riposte at Dusk
25 May 1941 Galatas, Crete - ASL Conversion by Ozgur Budak
The 25th had seen the start of the final German offensive to smash the British line and capture Canea and Suda. It had been a bloody day for both sides, but in the end the British lost Galatas, the key to maintaining a solid defensive line. Colonel Kippenberger had just barely managed to stop a total rout as he ignored the crack of bullets and crash of mortar rounds to walk among the 18th Battalion troops shouting "Stand for New Zealand!". Now a desperate counter-attack to restore the line was to be made by the only fresh troops left; C and D Companies, 23rd Battalion. A determined shout issued from the 200 men as they moved forward; the shout was heard by the tank crews within their noisy compartments and by German units several miles away in the Prison Valley. A number of Greek regiments, understrength and poorly armed but with grim determination after the defeats of the past month, were on Crete. Needing no urging from the New Zealand officers attached, the Greeks -though poorly armed- sallied out to meet the enemy. Even the local Cretans went out to attack Germans. For the Germans, a jump to capture the village had become a struggle for survival. download
Cut the Road to Marseille
19 August 1944 Toulon, France - ASL Conversion by Ozgur Budak
The 4th Squadron of the 3éme Régiment de Spahis, 3éme DIA was assigned the task of clearing and securing the strategic Camp crossroads controlling the roads to Aubagne. Having reconnoitered the area earlier in the day, a plan was devised to take the German defenders by surprise. Intelligence estimated the poorly armed and motivated students of a German NCO school manned the defense. Captain Riviere signaled for the assault to begin shortly before 1800 hours. Dismounting from their halftracks, the Spahis advanced behind
a screen of Sublieutenant Ponticelli's light tanks. This would be the first taste of combat for many of the Spahis and as they approached the village, the only signs of activity were some German soldiers cutting firewood. download
Alpine Bolt
After 10 days of recon and light skirmishing, Mussolini entered the European war against France. With strong forces to the south and the Superga Division to the North, the Cagliari Division was tasked with the drive up the center to Mount-Celis. In an attempt to flank the French strongpoints, the Italians moved into the Ambin Valley, the weak point of the French defenses. After having their initial probing attacks dealt with harshly , the now determined Italians would come in force. download
Clenched Fists, Black Eyes
Two days after the launch of Operation Market Garden, the 82nd Airborne Division was still trying to gain it's objectives. The arrival of the forward detachments of the British Guards Armoured Division was timely, and a new assault on the Nijmegen bridges was begun. download

Eagles Strike Vehicle and Unit Art Mod
Ozgur Budak and Frank Harmon
Ozgurs best work hands down. As with the Advance of the Reich Vehicle mod, this also replaces many of the unit box vehicle graphics for ES with new vehicle graphics that are present in the Vehiclebox.bmp. Counter graphics remain the same due to the fact that the level of detail desired is not possible with the images offered in this mod at the reduced level. Images are shown are of lower quality than those present in the high resolution version of the mod. This package also offers new unit artwork and includes a new Units.bmp, unit boxes, leader boxes, and vehicle boxes for all nationalities included in the stock version of Eagles Strike as well as those that have been added by the Allied Powers add-on mentioned below. One DOES NOT need to run the modded version to use this unit art package. The additional graphics are just there for those who use the add-on.
Ozgur intended his work to be viewed at the level of quality that is included in his original high resolution version of his work. This is now available for download. The version in the "all in one package" is of lower quality than the version mentioned here.

EAGLES STRIKE EUROPEAN ADD ON
Ozgur Budak & Frank Harmon
THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL HPS SUPPORTED ADD ON. This is just something to hold Squad Battles fans over until a legitimate WF-Allied Forces game becomes a reality. The 2D only add-on is a fully functioning addition that (though limited) still opens numerous possibilities for gaming with ES and is quality workmanship. This add on does not effect any existing data (other than graphic), and only adds to the weapons/equipment that all ready exists. No 3D graphics exist. This is the final version of this add on. Nothing else will be added as of 28 April 2003. All that may happen is a few tweaks to existing add on material, but that will be the extent.

Other Goodies
Alternate Unit and Vehicle Art, Art for Gebirgjagers and UK Colonial Troops, K-9 dogs, new turn boxes, .303 British wav files for Lee-Enfield, new Waffen SS uniforms (winter camo, summer camo, slightly wounded and smoking troops, etc), new images for MAS 36, Bren LMG and Lee Enfield (imported from SB:KW), .OOB files for the very strangely organized Italian Infantry Battalion, French Infantry Battalion of 1940, and British and Canadian 1944 OOB's done by Wild Bill Wilder.
Notes
No aircraft or heavy guns have been added. A few early war weapons, French tanks and a few early German Tanks already exist in the stock OOB for early war actions. ( I will be writing an article soon stating which weapons in the .oob editor are German weapons that have been captured). If other armor is desired in a scenario, use lend lease Yankee tanks. There are only two scenarios as of this moment.
This add on also does not effect playing scenarios with the units originally included with ES and it "coexists" and it will cause no issues if you have the mod installed and your opponent does not. The only issue you will confront is if you attempt to play someone a scenario containing these custom weapons or units and they do not have the add on installed. Otherwise the game stands unaltered.
Note-Please read the installation instructions. Although a fairly easy task it has no margin for error. Failure to install this add-on correctly will destroy your computer...lol only kidding. However, it will give you a very funky looking game.
