metal bars
chassis
Tank parts. One of the huge stockpiles of metal bars and pre-assembled parts on which the German war industry can rely. A large number of armored giants are lined up in the production hall. The sound of a hammer and other tools... sometimes a piece of equipment drops on the concrete floor... metal hits metal... you can hear this Song of Labour everywhere in the production hall...
installation of the engine
production line
adding the tracks
The tank looks in the beginning like a huge iron box, but transforms rapidly into a weapon that has performed extremely well during the war. Next to the empty chassis are tanks which are 'filled' with the engine and parts for transmission among other things. When the tanks have reached this stage, tracks are added which distinguishes the tank from other vehicles in service of the German army.
the superstructure
finished!
At the end of the production line the superstructure is mounted on the chassis. Only a few more little manipulations are required before the iron giant can leave the smithy. When everything is finished a factory worker writes 'fertig' (finished) on the frontal armor shield. Again a weapon against the enemy was created!
